Throughout the first consideration of the bill, Sen. Padilla incorrectly stated several times that AKC was neutral on AB 1634. AKC's staff contacted Sen. Padilla's staff after his floor statements and reinforced AKC's opposition. Later, on call, the California State Senate voted 5-27 against Assembly Bill 1634. However, this is not the end of AB 1634. |
